SEO Case Studies: how 4 Australian businesses grew with search engine optimisation

SEO case studiesIt is no secret that we at Sticky believe that Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the best way that you can leverage the enormous volumes of monthly web traffic to grow your business. The truth is that SEO is still by far the most cost effective strategy that currently exists online for attracting new customers. There is simply no other form of promotion, advertising or online exposure that has the consistent staying-power and return on investment that SEO provides.

That being said, there is still a lot of confusion amongst business owners and marketing managers about what to expect from search and how long it takes to achieve worthwhile results. So we thought we would share snapshots of just 4 of our clients who have experienced significant business growth over different time frames. All 4 operate in different industries, 2 on a local scale, the other 2 on a national scale.

The common theme is that they engaged Sticky to design and implement successful digital marketing strategies to attract highly qualified, targeted web visitors and help convert them into paying customers.

One thing to note: SEO is typically a long-term strategy and fast results aren’t always expected, however you’ll see in these case studies that in 2015 we have been able to accelerate results for these clients too. This has been due to some new developments here at Sticky. We have been able to take our SEO services to a new level by joining forces with a global network of amazing search professionals. This group works at the forefront of “white hat” search traffic generation and collectively we stay up to date with the latest developments in search and ranking algorithm changes in order to help leading organisations in very competitive industries achieve amazing results online. It has been an exciting step forward for us and our clients.

Search engine optimisation case studies

1. Small local financial services company (B2B)
This company had been operating for several years when they left their original digital agency and engaged Sticky in early 2014. Initial results came fairly quickly but they have continued to enjoy strong, consistent growth.

2. Small local medical services (B2C)
This long-running and well respected small business had a nice, professional website but very little quality traffic and enquiries. They initially engaged Sticky in late 2013 to whip their site into shape and steadily grow traffic. Our first round of work saw them start generating traffic they never had, basically moving from a very low traffic base to around 500 visits per month. (This is a low volume, high value industry). We recently re-engaged to help them step up to a new level, doubling traffic and enquiries in just the first few months. We are expecting some spectacular results for them in 2015-16.

3. National medical services (B2C)
This national client came to us 3 years ago to help them grow their fairly stagnant web traffic and enquiries. After significant research and development our plan launched late 2012 with immediate results. Traffic grew 300% in the first 3 months. By the end of the first year it was up 500%. A year later it had almost doubled again…a staggering 850% growth in 2 years!! Nearly all this growth came from organic search visitors, which is no surprise when you consider that Sticky has the client ranking on Page 1 of Google for 99 search terms, 65 of of which are ranked in the top 3 results.

4. National Financial Services
This is one of our newest clients, operating in a VERY tough and competitive national field. To be honest it is only early days and we haven’t had much time to have our strategies take effect (some haven’t even launched yet), but we saw some “low hanging fruit” and moved quickly to help the client grab it. In just our first few weeks they have seen traffic grow 164%. Each new customer they win has a significant lifetime value, so qualified visitors are gold.

We love seeing our clients grow. While we could never reveal their financial results, these 4 businesses have enjoyed significant revenue growth that roughly mirrors their increase in search traffic.

We’re at the point where we feel we can take on almost any search challenge. As one of the only Australian agencies granted membership to this invitation-only global network, Sticky clients now benefit not only from our 10 years of search experience, but from the collective expertise of some of the world’s most successful search specialists.
